MVD SPRING CAMPOREE 2011

May 13-15

What is it?  It is a Mountain Man Rendezvous!   We will have real mountain men with a traditional mountain man camp for the scouts to wander through.   We will be shooting black powder rifles, building bows, two man saws, fire building and leather working.   This is a competition.   Those patrols who score the best times or are most accurate will be awarded.  There will be no patrol separation so you will need your senior patrol leader to be the leader throughout the competition.    It will be a day of fun and adventure.

Check- in is at 4:00pm or later

Place:  the Taylor ranch in Bridger canyon about 200 yards before mile marker 13.  It will be adequately signed from the road.

Fires can be in a barrel or on the ground if a fire circle has been created.

Scouts will need to bring their own water supplies and mountain man attire will be welcomed.

We will be in the mountains so good boots are recommended.
